It's been some time

Hello friends and welcome back to another blog post! I am super excited to get back in the swing of things, and apologize for the "break" I took during this unpredictable time.
I recently moved back onto campus here at Queens University, and let me say... it's (already) been a CRAZY ride. As of yesterday (3 day into living here) we got an email stating that all classes will reside online until the 2nd of February. Now as a nursing student, already in the program, I have a leg up due to clinicals. But, I wanted to share something that really stuck with me.
During this wave of emails from the president of the university, resident director and professors, I got reminded how much things can change (even in a short period of time). One professor reminded us, that nursing itself is one of those jobs where we can take this time to appreciate the adaptation of this critical time. Which is 100% true.
We often get all caught up in a routine, even if it's one to another. And sometimes that change and adaptation is what we NEED in our lives. Again, things happen for a reason.
Thinking back onto this past year and the beginning of 2021, I am thankful to have gotten the experience of these quick changes to help improve my future within the medical field. After all, how often does the medical field stay the same?
This can be happening within your personal lives as well!
Have a child who recently got released to go to school, but is now sent home? Had a job that truly didn't work out? Or have had to figure out not to *hypothetically* strangle your partner during this at home period?
There is something to be said about these unknown, changing times. It happens for a reason. Whether it is to prepare you for your future, whether it is to get you closer to your kids and partner when times are tough, or simply find yourself when you have given up. It truly is there to benefit you in the long run.
I hope this blog finds you well, and I hope that each and everyone of you have a BLESSED day ahead of you.
Love,
Kenzie Kaye
