Okay ladies, this one's for you.

In today's world, we often get lost. We get lost in trying to look our best and trying to get the "perfect" body image... only for people (even other women) to "accept" you. Not only is this lacking the confidence and beauty the Lord has already given you... it's downgrading who we truly are.

let's take a few minutes to talk about internal beauty.

Personally, internal beauty means so much more than the exterior. It's pure and it's who you truly are.

In 1 Peter 3:3-4 it says:

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

With inner beauty you have a different connection, not only with yourself, but with God. Being able to have love, kindness and even empathy... has so much power.

I watched a show on Netflix a couple months ago called, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. Every Time someone got rid of a piece of clothing she asked them to say "thank you" and followed by a "goodbye." Writing this a remembering the show got me thinking. What if we did that to what we add to ourselves?

Yes, I know that doesn't make too much since but let me explain. You get dressed in the morning, you put some makeup on and tidy up your hair...

When you put that shirt on how does it make you feel? Secured?

What about your makeup? Pretty? Is it covering up a blemish that you dislike?

Take a few minutes to think about that. How do they make you feel, and why do you do it?

So we took care of the external beauty, right? That's super easy to do. I can name 15 things I do everyday to make sure I look "good" for the day. Now this sounds weird, but hang in there with me, look in the mirror. Take, not even 2 minutes, to look at yourself, nothing added. No makeup. Just you. How do you feel? You feel weird, right? Think of the things you can't necessarily see.

Let me tell you something... this is you and this is who you are. You are beautiful. You are kind, sweet and you have the biggest heart. Feel it. Find it. And understand. What you are seeing on the outside... is only a fraction of who are truly are. And ladies... this is your internal beauty.
